<p><b>James Wyatt</b>  (3 August 1746 - 4 September 1813) was an English architect who was a rival of <a href="page.php?w=Robert_Adam">Robert Adam</a> in the <a href="page.php?w=Neoclassicism">neoclassical</a> and <a href="page.php?w=neo-Gothic">neo-Gothic</a> styles. He was elected to the <a href="page.php?w=Royal_Academy_of_Arts">Royal Academy of Arts</a> in 1785 and was its president from 1805 to 1806.</p>
