<p>The <b>M'Naghten rule(s)</b> (pronounced, and sometimes spelled, <b>McNaughton</b>) is a legal <a href="page.php?w=test_%28law%29">test</a> defining the <a href="page.php?w=Insanity_defense">defence of insanity</a> that was formulated by the <a href="page.php?w=House_of_Lords">House of Lords</a> in 1843.
