It was typically reserved for a <a href="page.php?w=Muslims">Muslim</a> ruler and his entourage, and was originally designed to shield him from potential assassins during prayer. The <a href="page.php?w=imam">imam</a> officiating inside the maqsurah typically belonged to the same <a href="page.php?w=Islamic_schools_and_branches">school of law</a></p><p>
