<p><b>Pharyngeal aspiration</b> is the introduction of a substance into the <a href="page.php?w=pharynx">pharynx</a> and its subsequent <a href="page.php?w=Pulmonary_aspiration">aspiration</a> into the lungs. It began to be used in the late 1990s.
