The Pinta Island tortoise (Chelonoidis niger ), also known as the Pinta giant tortoise, Abingdon Island tortoise, or Abingdon Island giant tortoise, is a recently extinct subspecies of Galápagos tortoise that was native to Ecuador's Pinta Island.
