<p>In <a href="page.php?w=graph_theory">graph theory</a>, a <b>planar graph</b> is a <a href="page.php?w=graph_%28discrete_mathematics%29">graph</a> that can be <a href="page.php?w=graph_embedding">embedded</a> in the <a href="page.php?w=plane_%28geometry%29">plane</a>, i.e., it can be drawn on the plane in such a way that its edges intersect only at their endpoints.
