<p>A <b>Wool town</b> is a name given to towns and villages, particularly in <a href="page.php?w=Suffolk">Suffolk</a> and north <a href="page.php?w=Essex">Essex</a>, that were the centre of the <a href="page.php?w=Medieval_English_wool_trade">woven cloth industry in the Middle Ages</a>.</p>
