<p>The <b>acetabulum</b> (; : <b>acetabula</b>), also called the <b>cotyloid cavity</b>, is a <a href="page.php?w=wikt%3Aconcave">concave</a> surface of the <a href="page.php?w=pelvis">pelvis</a>. The <a href="page.php?w=femur_head">head of the femur</a> meets with the pelvis at the acetabulum, forming the <a href="page.php?w=Hip">hip joint</a>.</p>
