<p><b>Interleukin-18</b> (<b>IL-18</b>), also known as <b>interferon-gamma inducing factor</b> is a <a href="page.php?w=protein">protein</a> which in humans is encoded by the IL18 <a href="page.php?w=gene">gene</a>. The protein encoded by this gene is a <a href="page.php?w=proinflammatory_cytokine">proinflammatory cytokine</a>.
