The term is derived from nava ( "nine") and graha ( "planet, seizing, laying hold of, holding"). The nine parts of the navagraha are the Sun, Moon, planets Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn, and the <a href="page.php?w=lunar_node">two nodes of the Moon</a>.</p>
