Based on the unique risk patterns of a given project, the spiral model guides a team to adopt elements of one or more process models, such as <a href="page.php?w=Iterative_and_incremental_development">incremental</a>, <a href="page.php?w=Waterfall_model">waterfall</a>, or <a href="page.php?w=Software_prototyping">evolutionary prototyping</a>.</p>
