A webcast may either be distributed live or on demand. Essentially, webcasting is "<a href="page.php?w=broadcasting">broadcasting</a>" over the Internet. While a "<a href="page.php?w=podcast">podcast</a>" is usually pre-recorded, a webcast is usually live and possibly interactive.</p>
